Community Updates from Dr. Bob: 09/06/2023
Wouldn’t it be amazing if God literally directed your steps? If a light from heaven shone down to direct you to the right job, spouse, neighborhood… it would be so much easier to stay within God’s will. If only he would just give you (and me) the answers.
God may not give us specific direction for the choices we make throughout our lives, but he has shared his general will for you and me as believers, as disciples of Jesus. Scripture provides many clear, unequivocal answers regarding God’s will for us as Christians:
- He wants to transform us for his mission
- He wants us to live as Jesus lived
- He wants us to love and serve our neighbors
- He wants us to grow as disciples
- He wants us to make disciples
As we act on what God has shown us we are to do—as we step forward in faith and action—he will reveal more and more of his will along the way.

This Monday at Vision Night, we will be talking about what it looks like to pursue these things as a community. We will update you on the progress we have made as a church during this time of transition and outline the next steps in the pastoral search process. And we will discuss how we live in obedience to his direction together.
