Community Update from Dr. Bob: 4/03/2024

We are resurrection people – called to live into that new life! It was so encouraging to celebrate Easter with you. Praise God for that new life and may we continue to press into it!

This coming Sunday we’ll be starting a new sermon series called Kingdom Churches. As we continue to think through our role as a local church, this series focuses on what it means to be a Kingdom Church: a church not just for itself but for the greater Kingdom. Local churches are not intended to be institutions, but communities of people living and loving like Jesus and on mission together.

The church in Acts was founded on making disciples, then those disciples gathered in groups, and as those groups came together… they became known as churches. Churches are a by-product of discipleship, not vice versa.

During this series we will walk through several different New Testament churches with an eye toward what we can learn from their experiences, culminating in a vision for our church right here in Rancho Cucamonga.

We are entering an exciting and critical time in the life of Community Church Rancho. Brett and I urge you to lean in during this season. Join us for our Vision Discernment Groups on Monday nights. RSVP here or – if Mondays don’t work – join us for an online option on Thursday. RSVP here. Our goal is 100% participation. If you call Community your church home, we want your voice! The choices you make now shape the outcomes of the future, so please come and engage with us as we seek to hear from God together.
