As June comes to an end, a new ministry year beckons with promise and expectation – also challenges and the unknown. As a church family, we’re heading into a significant year for the life of our church. Pastor Brett and I have prepared a quick overview of our budget and goals for the coming fiscal year (July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025). Please read it 2024-2025.Goals and Budget and use it as a prompt for reflection and prayer.

Our Partner vote will be held on June 28th and 30th, before or after both the Friday and Sunday gatherings. We will seek to approve the fiscal year budget and affirm new partners (Doug and Ruth Gray + Mike and Sharron Jungman).

This weekend, board members will be available after both gatherings to field questions or discuss any concerns. Join in after either Friday (6/21) or Sunday (6/23) in room 107 – you’ll have access to a detailed budget plan and an opportunity to engage with the board.

Also this weekend, we’ll be hosting friends from the Aspire Network, the cooperative partnership of churches to which we belong. Doug Meye (Friday) and David Harris (Sunday) will be sharing a word of encouragement for us during this season of transition. Join us in welcoming these ministry partners, and pray with us for God’s wisdom and leading during this season in the life of our church!

Finally, a new process group is launching on July 9th, “Less Anger, More Peace.” Anger’s obvious, destructive aspects often overshadow its value. This course offers focused reflection on the many faces of an emotion all humans deal with. We can manage it differently to bring more peace into our daily experiences. Participants receive a discussion guide days before each of the five 1-hour Zoom conversations (Tuesdays, July 9-August 5). Register here.
