At the beginning of April, 30 of our CBC women joined with other women from area churches to attend the Spring Women’s Retreat at beautiful Forest Home. We have had great reports! The speaker, Beth Guckenberger, was described as:
• The best
• Anointed and wonderful
• Beyond amazing
And then there was the worship through music, led by Mandie Pinto, which was described as:
• Just right
But even more extraordinary was the spiritual transformation that took place in many women’s lives. And by getting away from it all for the weekend, they were able to enjoy delicious food they didn’t have to prepare, fun activities they didn’t have to plan, time alone to contemplate God’s word in his beautiful creation and time with other CBC ladies to sitting around a campfire or taking a hike and talking. Not to mention the zipline, ropes course and coffee shop. There was something for everyone.
In the words of one of the women:
This was my very first Women’s Retreat and it was amazing. I loved themoments of quiet and solitude, of praise and worship, of hearing and learning. Iloved it. The food was great, and the Forest Home staff members were wonderful.
And from another woman who attended:
One of the best retreats, if not THE best I’ve been on, and I’ve been to many.
Keep your eyes open for next spring’s retreat! Details to follow. And if you start saving just $5 per week now, you will have next year’s retreat paid for with money left over for a fabulous milk shake in the Snack Shack.
