Sometimes the Christmas Season is a difficult one as it reminds us of painful memories: the death of a loved one, a financial setback, an affliction or other forms of loss and tragedy. Thankfully, our Lord Jesus Christ came not only to bring joy to the world, but comfort and strength in our losses. On Thursday, December 21st at 7pm we are going to have a special worship service called “The Longest Night Service.” This is a service where we can pour out our grief and lament to God, remember loved ones and ask our Savior for healing and consolation. It is a simple service that will have readings, singing of poignant Christmas hymns, and the lighting of candles. If you know of anyone who has suffered a loss recently, please consider inviting them (and joining them) to this service. Childcare will be offered at a nominal fee for young children if you RSVP. Email Jackie or reach her at 909.945.5001 x225 for more info or to RSVP for childcare.
