What’s your next step?

This fall our church took a deep dive into what it meant to live and love like Jesus. We ventured to love God, love others, and make disciples just like Jesus. The point wasn’t just to talk about it, but to take concrete next steps as apprentices of Jesus. This is what Discipleship Lab was all about this fall, putting Jesus’ way of life into practice. Folks from Community gathered every Monday night to discuss and identify our next steps in living and loving like Jesus!

Discipleship Lab is back starting this Monday – and it’s designed to help each of us grow as disciples as we make disciples. Here’s our promise: If you come, you will be challenged to take your faith to a deeper level. If you join us, you will learn practical tools to support that growth in you and in others. If you lean in, you’ll experience what we read about in Hebrews 10:24-25, folks spurring you on to love and good deeds, encouraging you (and you’ll learn how to do that for others too)!

Join us this Monday (Jan 22) in the worship center. Make meaningful relationships, get intentional about your walk with Jesus, watch as God grows you. You were made for this! We have tables for teens and adults (both those who journeyed with us in the fall and those who are brand new to this experience!).

Mondays beginning Jan. 22

Dinner: 6pm

Table Groups: 6:30-7:30pm

Congregational Survey

Perspective is everything.  It doesn’t matter how hard you’re working to cut a path through the forest if you’re headed in the wrong direction. Sometimes we need to pause and get some perspective on our effectiveness, our direction, and our vision!

The same is true as a church. Perspective helps inform decision making and next steps. Our board and staff are spending some time in January to get perspective on the work that God has given us: What’s working? Where are we stuck? What’s healthy? What’s not?

To get the fullest and most accurate perspective, we need your point of view! Please invest a few minutes to complete our congregational survey. Your responses are anonymous, but will help us get a better sense of where we are as a church and where we need to focus our energies in the year ahead.

Please complete the survey by 1/28, and then plan on joining us at worship on 2/4, where we will the share the results from this survey and other congregational assessments. This State of the Church message will unpack the findings from these surveys, reflect on the implications for our church, and chart a course of action in response.

You can find the survey online here: https://forms.gle/beKcMv6V7py8uL4u9

If you’d like a paper copy (or need help with the digital version), stop by the church office next week (Mon-Thurs, 9am-5pm).

Your input is incredibly valuable as we prepare for this next season of living and loving like Jesus together! Thanks for taking a few minutes to gift the church with greater perspective.

Grateful,

Dr. Bob and Brett
