Community News from Dr. Bob – 03/13/24
Hello Community! We are very much looking forward to celebrating Easter and the good news of Jesus’ resurrection together with all of you. We have planned a wonderful Holy week with a Good Friday service, a Saturday Easter egg hunt for the children, and our Sunday morning Easter worship services.
Easter provides us with a great opportunity to share the gospel with our friends and neighbors. It’s our individual actions that can help people take one step closer to Jesus; “the church” is not an institution–it’s the collection of what we all as individuals do. The church is us; the church is you.
So we encourage you to invite your friends and neighbors to join you on Easter weekend. Did you know that 80% of those who are simply invited to church by someone they know will say yes? Below is a text you can send them:

Hey! This past Sunday, my church announced the activities and services for the upcoming Easter weekend. Sounds like it’s going to be a great time. Does your family have plans this Easter?
>>
We have a Good Friday service (3/29) at 6pm, an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday (3/30) at 1pm, and our Easter Sunday services at 9am or 10:30am (3/31). Our staff will be spending time pray for you and those you are inviting.
If you don’t text, you can pick up a printed invitation card at one of our services and hand it out to those you want to invite. This is a simple, actionable item you can do this week.
You could even make an event out of it and have your friends over to your place or a restaurant for Easter dinner after the service! But simply making an invitation of some kind is something everyone can do.
