These are the principles and practices that guide everything we do at Community Church.
This isn’t about politics, religious background, or culture. We strive to be a place where EVERYONE can have an encounter with Jesus.
When people encounter Jesus, lives are changed. The life-changing power of Jesus isn’t just something we read about in the Bible; we believe that Jesus still offers hope, new life, and freedom today!
We believe this life change happens as we begin to move in the direction of Jesus — reorienting our lives to be with Jesus, to be like Jesus, and to do what Jesus did.
In order to live out this pursuit, we are committed to practicing the rhythms of discipleship. Jesus’ followers – then and now – flourish at the convergence of PRESENCE, FORMATION, and MISSION.
PRESENCE // We seek the presence of God through a culture of prayer and worship; we hunger for God. We want to be with Jesus.
FORMATION // We practice intentional spiritual formation, learning how to walk in the way of Jesus and not the ways of the world. We are being formed into the likeness of Christ. We want to be like Jesus.MISSION // We joyfully join God’s mission in our community and around the world. Our lives are marked by sacrificial serving, gospel generosity, and surrendered living. We want to do what Jesus did.
At Community Church, our faith is rooted in the Bible, and reflects the historic confessions of the Church expressed in the Apostles Creed and Nicene Creed.
